Hopefully this clears up the myth that George W. Bush banned stem cell research. He didn't, he just didn't force people who are morally opposed to it to indirectly support it by using their tax money to federally fund it. This also proves that private enterprise can successfully make scientific breakthroughs even without forcing tax payers to subsidize them.
